The Saudis dump $780 billion dollars of US bonds.

Then, both the Saudis and OPEC stop using the dollar to exclusively trade oil, resulting in America’s global credit rating spiraling straight down the toilet.

China collectively says “Oh shit…” And simply mentions considering divesting itself of over a trillion dollars of the same.

Citizens of the United States then realize that their currency essentially has no value once its exclusivity for trading oil there is abandoned. This will also adversely affect the dissemination of the dollar and its acceptance. Americans will then ask a leadership that couldn’t balance a checkbook to save their own asses what the contingency plan is, only to discover that there is none.

The global market crashes.

China, never to let a good crisis go to waste, now sees the opportunity to annex the Spratly Islands without a bankrupted US interfering.

HINT ///// China still hasn’t decided to dump their bonds… Yet. /////

That decision will be entirely dependent ( or, at least appear to be dependent–at first ) upon the US reaction to their annexation of said islands.

To make matters worse, in an astonishing example of life imitating the Call of Duty franchise… An unknown organization sends a group of suicide bombers (perhaps disguised as Hassidic Jews or impersonating Israeli soldiers) into the Al Aqsa mosque (the Islamic world’s third holiest site).

Their entrance is violent and bloody, the destruction to the mosque is mortifying.

Extra points if Fox News plays a loop showing smoke pouring out of the Dome of the Rock a few hundred yards away.

Video links to the tragedy posted to YouTube and Vimeo flood Twitter, Facebook, and every available social network.

The Islamic world reacts, not only in the Middle East, Africa and Indonesia, but also in Europe; which incidentally, just took in millions of them.

The resulting political fallout and widespread retaliatory violence is indescribable.

And the most frightening thing of all…

America’s first woman president awakens to discover that her period just started.

garbotalk: The Saudis currently need our support as America is their greatest customer for their oil. Hurting us hurts them and lands the world in a global depression. They aren’t sufficiently motivated to do such a catastrophic thing….yet.

Whose to say we don’t just declare the bonds non-transferable? Nothing to sell then! And China? We have invested as much in their businesses, infrastructures and commodities as they have our bonds. It’s really a wash.

WW 3 may be inevitable, but we can certainly avoid it if we don’t provoke one another, say by hacking the DNC, to negatively influence our election.

However, oil as a commodity backing currency must end as it is not as plentiful as it once was and the end is near. (Not to mention it’s use damaging our planet).

We’ve tried precious metals, then oil, what is next? Rare minerals. And the moon is full of them. I would love to see education rewarded by information backing our currency. Imagine the motivated students! I’m not sure how that could happen though.

Right now, the most we have to trade other planets is food, creativity, and rare minerals. It’s a start.

They were then slapped down by their handlers like the cheap whores that they are.

Ending our association with them leaves the Arab governments to the mercy of the Persians and their own Arab spring of uprisers seeking to end their dominance. Which might be a good thing if they continue their mistreatment of their people.

Bear that thought in mind.

Besides, The European Union is the biggest whore the world has ever seen.

Their continued existence appears to be contingent upon the petrodollar being replaced by a currency closer to home.

They want that currency to be the Euro.

All their overtures at preserving the status quo are pure bullshit.

Now that Britain has left, leaving Germany to pick up the check, everyone at the table has awkwardly excused themselves to head for the loo.

That’s because Deutsche Bank is about to projectile vomit trillions of bad derivatives all over the floor.

reptiliandude: Most Americans only received a smidgen of what this issue is really all about, or for that matter, what it is inexorably leading up to.

That is because you are supposed to forget about it.

It took decades to cultivate and nurture your child-like attention spans.

Look around you…

Ignorance is bliss.

Those who promote rational thinking are still emotionally scarred over the fact that they were either back-strapped by the Bible Belt or laughed at by buxomed high school tarts.

So they’re nihilists.

Their loyalty is like the loyalty of merchants and bankers, it’s a loyalty determined by where the lion’s share of their profits and popularity arise.

Meanwhile, China is making her usual slow and almost imperceptible stride towards another long range plan.

That plan is to corner the production market of the world’s next energy source, helium-3.

Which is why they’re going to the moon.

And why they will be planting the flag of the People’s Republic next a bleached out, nearly white foil version of the flag of a nation that once dreamed big and did great things.

That is, until they enacted laws to advance the causes of their sexually dysfunctional, their mentally unstable, and their socially inept.

All this created the perfect smokescreen for the foxes to raid the hen-house.

garbotalk: A life worth living needs purpose, goals, dreams and opportunities for advancement physically, mentally and spiritually. How can we create a world worthy of our children’s potential?

It’s not through frivolous and shallow celebrity worship. It’s not through mind-numbing drone like work for miniscule wages. It’s not through debasement, devaluation and dismissiveness of one another as sport. It’s not through passivity as evil and subjugation penetrates every facet of our lives without resistance. And it’s not through selfishness, materialism and abandonment of our responsibilities to the stewardship of our planet.

I know many good people who just don’t try hard enough, who feel powerless to make a change, who abdicate their responsibilities and just go through life existing. Such a waste. Opportunities ignored may never come again. Blinding ourselves to the truths of this universe harms us so much, we may not have a future.

If there is anything I wish for my people, it’s to seize life, love it, respect the gifts we’ve been given and use them to advance our people in every way possible. Our descendants deserve it, and only we can give it to them.

DankNethers: The culture of the id across the western world is a product of groupthink, believe it or not. As a culture, we have all agreed to participate in nonsensical jobs, nonsensical living conditions, and nonsensical disparity betwixt the glam and the mob, in order to busy ourselves just enough to keep most MEN busy. This is the social contract that we all dance around. It’s nonsense but we know nothing else.

Our fundamental issue is that our psyche is like a child’s, but our intellect is on par with most civilized speices in the rest of the universe, or at least getting close.

This creates many problems. For example, highly intelligent people – those who should be leading us to a grand summit with our progenitors, for example – are typically repulsed by violence, and would never dare harm another. This is why the BEST people you’ve ever met, the most sincere, the most moral and good, but also the most questioning… tend to be the smartest.

But on the very big flipside – not terribly intelligent people can harm others and either rationalize the act lickety split or don’t even bother, as they carry no regret. This is particularly problematic in MEN.

That’s a very mild understatement.

This world is in tatters because of the men that lead it. To give any one of them the honor of being a representative of humanity during the first years of contact, trial and tribulation, for the very the stupid reason that someone in their administration figured out how to speak in real time, is abso-fucking-lutely ludicrous. If that’s the “rule”, we need to break it.

I’m not kidding at all.

None of us can compete with governments and labs and actual scientific minds doing what they do best – solving for a problem, that’s it. WE need to figure out how to make sure all the players move all their pieces in just the right way so that……………. we win

If the universe insists on sticking to this nonsense – that first contact from the beacon, which is merely a matter of BUDGET, and not MORALS, will determine representation…. Humanity will be damned. The path to a new beginning for both our peoples that I see so clearly will be lost.

So RD – better figure that one out.

But the way in which worlds are evaluated always begins at the top and then works its way down.

Perhaps this is because most societies (including my own) only flirt with the notion of sustaining legitimate democracies.

They’re just too much work, and require to much of a burden upon one’s conscience.

It’s always easier to farm out the difficult decisions to those who you can throw stones at later… You know, when things go completely awry.

Usually, the moment that people start enjoying the benefits as well as the personal profits that arise from abandoning the monarchistic archetypes, they then abandon their own responsibilities due to time constraints, lack of math skills, and again—an unwillingness to effectively deal with issues of conscience.

So, they turn the reigns of power over to representatives who, in turn, promptly set about representing themselves.

That is to say, that they represent themselves to those who can assist them in no small measure to living like the kings their fathers disavowed.

So, how is it then unfair for a species to be evaluated in large part by their leadership?

They are the ones who set the trade standards and the exchange weights.

If a people, claiming to embrace democratic principles, instead hand over the reigns of their coveted institutions to political whores, bankers, and merchants whose loyalty is only where the lion’s share of their profits are being made…

How is that also not a clear representation of what the species considers acceptable?

If a citizenry compulsively and irresponsibly acquires possessions through the accumulation of unsustainable debt, and then turns over the control of their money supply to those whose business model is based upon the sustained accumulation of the same, just how are they excused from any culpability in this?

I could understand if this society was in some sort of a totalitarian dictatorship or an old school monarchy, where protesters would be imprisoned and tortured.

But most of the industrialized nations now comport themselves as republics, plutocracies, oligarchies, or reasonable facsimiles thereof, so there is at least an assumption that their citizens can rally and protest against grievances despite the “officially-approved” stumbling blocks put in place to prevent such expressions.

This is why I keep on pushing and prodding your species to develop an information-based algorithmic currency which is independent from the group-think of the masses. You have Bit Coin, just tweak it a little here and there.

That way, the auditors who are here can and will relay this information to those who calculate standardized time.

They in turn, will relay that information to The Assembly.

Try to understand as incredibly fantastic as this sounds, you are going to encounter beings whose technology is quite capable of picking up this planet like a marble and moving it into another solar system, one even further removed than the one it dwells in now.

What you want is for them to move you closer, to where the activity and trade is, or at least to give you the opportunity to travel there occasionally, so you can see that you’re not the biggest apes to fall from the trees.

It might be a good idea to… I don’t know… Wash the dishes, vacuum the floor, clean the bathroom counter tops and take out the trash?

Or in other words, to develop a currency that actually has value, and clean up the problems this nonsense has caused.

As for my humble species, we often trade with another world that uses a currency which is made up of fanciful structures of DNA. And, we reciprocate with the same.

It’s a really original concept and is really cute, as are they are also quite cute as a species.

They are primates like yourselves, but they look more like what foxes would look like, if they were given more human faces. Their technology is a mere century or so ahead of yours at it’s current rate.

They developed this currency to support a system of electronic credits from the very beginning because they knew what would happen if they hadn’t. The process creates something of real value that can be stored in specially equipped vaults and is extremely difficult for counterfeiters to replicate. Unfortunately your species lacked this foresight, or the one’s making profits from your fiat currencies didn’t care about all the bloodshed and political maneuvering required to sustain its illusory value.

I suppose you could go back to gold or use helium-3 to popularize yet another fiat currency, like the system to spread around the yuan that the Chinese think tanks are tossing around…

But that is not going to solve the problem of having something you can use as an acceptable medium of extra-solar exchange.

As for gold, it just doesn’t really have the luster to us that it does to you.

We use it for batteries, or to strengthen other metals like titanium.

Occasionally we use it with hydrogen to make very pretty “moths.”

But it is mostly industrial applications.

Jewelry? Not so much on our colonies close to here, as we never know when we are going to have to run through your progenitor’s defenses. Having anything metallic on one’s finger would mean a disruption resulting in the sudden and vaporous loss of that finger.

Anyways, I’ve drifted off topic again.

You have to keep in mind that you humans aren’t the only creatures here who want to keep the status quo as it is.

A visit from The Assembly would mean that business as usual would have to cease.

Currently, there is a thriving off-world genetic industry that uses this planet as a glorified Petri dish.

The product is essentially free for the taking because the savages who dwell therein have no idea what the value of what is being harvested actually is. Or, for that matter what exactly is being harvested at all.

So, when you are finally visited by creatures likened unto yourselves, it might be prudent to bear in mind that those “people” will not be coming here as saviors despite their great-swelling overtures.

They will be coming here as disgruntled businessmen.

And these businessmen will be looking at human civilization as nothing more than a concrete jungle filled to the brim with belligerent, hyper-clocked chimpanzees.

They will be perplexed and irritated that the Ones who rarely deign to speak to anyone (except on their level), have out of the clear blue sky decided to complicate an established business model that has been in existence for thousands of years.

They will do everything to keep in place the business model that exists now.

Fact is, they have been scampering around, blocking humanity’s development in earnest since about the time when Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin.

My species calls it “sirivic” activity.

It is when an extra-solar species interferes in the political and economic structure of a society in order to dumb them down or to foster social and international conflicts.

The purpose of this is to keep them from extending beyond the nuclear age and into a further extension of what you know as the “communications age.”

The rise of the internet was an unexpected phenomenon.

It wasn’t supposed to happen.

The rise of the internet led to a rapid growth of knowledge which side-stepped what was being spooned out to the general public by official news conglomerates and other ministries of propaganda.

It has also led to an extended interest (and with that interest, funding) in quantum computing and alternative ways of transmitting data.

This makes some beings very nervous.

Because it means that humanity might just figure out how to say “Mama…”

And when “Mama” arrives, she won’t be pleased to see that “rats” have been supping from the milk bottle.

And yes, it is quite unfair to be judged on the basis of our leadership. Not in all cases by any means – if we were further developed emotionally, then this wouldn’t be an issue. But we’re not, and that’s due to our history. YOUR history. The way we’ve been taught and molded. The way we have been bred.

If this was normal evolution at play, the normal procedures would suffice. But it’s not. And I could give a shit about any business interests that profit on our continued manipulation and degradation. This is truly a cause for the good of the universe.

God waits.

Because we are not a “normal” species.

You must appeal to your religious leaders. This must be handled differently.

And I don’t ask for exceptionalism lightly. We have been bred, manipulated, and controlled. We have been treated like product. Yet God sees within us a great gift. And a great vulnerability.

You MUST understand this.

This is a significant ethical issue.

And stop calling us lab rats. Many people are shit, for sure, and they shall be spun out of the gene pool.

But some of us are truly exceptional. And rival your most advanced species. I know this as it was told to me.

But while calling us overclocked chimps, lab rats and skunk apes may accurately portray how we are viewed in the universe, the condescension provokes us negatively. It displays a detachment and lack of respect that I don’t think you truly feel, or you would not have bothered to come here to help us at all.

It would help us to know that you fight not only AGAINST our ignorance, to motivate us to understand our predicament and to take action, but also fight FOR us, to represent us to the rest of the universe as our advocate. Is that not the case?

I envisioned a moral universal assembly who protect emerging species from exploitation. I now feel like Pollyanna, too hopeful and optimistic that ethics would grow at the same rate as technilogical and intellectual advancement in the universe. How disappointing to find out the truth was much worse than I ever imagined.

We have been abused, exploited, raped and murdered for millenia by those who should have known better. You too were once a less advanced species who had to learn to speak in real time, who were stuck between the ankh stage and the beacon stage for a while. Was your species as mistreated as ours in that critical time? Were others such as the Kayeen? How would your species respond if you had been treated so miserably?

Even so, I still believe that God has a plan for us, and will inspire us toward a better future, through the assistance and guidance of “sons of God” and “men of renown” such as yourself. We must turn the page and move on to the next chapter.

I know that the truth hurts.

But lying to you about something so important goes against my own moral compass.

Over the years, I have seen many humans, claiming to represent species that either don’t exist, or are naive dupes working in concert with the ones who seek to further exploit you.

That disinformation is both widespread and imbedded as a part of human culture.

The fact is, there isn’t any extra-solar species willing to step up as a whole and assist you merely out of the generosity of their own hearts.

That is because they either don’t know much about you as the information is extremely dated (nice horse and buggy), or the information about you is withheld, then filtered through ministries which then disseminate this information to their citizenry.

What did you expect?

You can’t communicate in real time, so few can hear of you or your plight.

The first vessels that came to your solar system were self-replicating bots, searching for mining opportunities.

It wasn’t Earth they were interested in, as it was high gravity, and too much water.

Another industry took interest in that.

And we’ve already discussed that one.

The general public of worlds light years removed from this place barely know of your existence, if at all.

Again, it is because radio transmissions take many light years to get to where they are going, and most advanced species learned the hard way that it’s not in their best interests to cheep like helpless baby chicks when the sky is filled with hungry predators who can zero in on them.

We thought that you’d have figured that one out when you listened to the skies around your world and heard nothing.

Even the most primitive societies know that when the jungle suddenly grows quiet, there’s a predator prowling about.

So what creatures in their right minds would assume that they are the only intelligent life in such a vast universe?

Unless they were either basking in an illusion of their own relevance and misusing scientific principles to support the premise or locked in belief systems which have no room for the rest of God’s children.

So, I’m telling you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

What defines me from the others is that disquieting characteristic.

The fact is, if you want people to care about you, you need your voices to be heard by transmitting them in real time.

That way the common citizenry of your sister worlds light years from here can look around and say, “Who the fuck is that?”

It lets them know that you exist and eventually brings The Assembly out of the darkness of the void to examine the anomaly in person.

All these stories about councils and federations and enclaves of concerned alien benefactors are utter rubbish.

That is not to say that there aren’t a few groups, (mostly religious) who are concerned about your situation.

But the secular ones have no legal jurisdiction here.

And the religious institutions which do express concern are put off by your species embrace of religious fundamentalism.

It’s no secret among my own people that the ones who are your most vocal supporters also believe in that whole Son of God redeemer nonsense so many of your species seem so enamorored with.

They claim that they don’t want to make the good lord angry by possibly interfering with his plan for humanity, or you mistaking them for introducing, “another Christ.”

They even have a bloody list they carry with them where this fellow gobsmacked the religious hypocrites on other worlds as well.

They hold some influence, and they might be able to help you.

But I think the prevailing opinion would be that having common religious affiliations isn’t the answer.

In fact, at this stage of the species societal evolution, it would probably create even worse problems than the ones they might solve.

You need to learn to speak in real time and evolve your monetary system so that you can engage in interplanetary trade.

If you develop a currency of real value that would be a huge step towards offering something more than genetic material.

That would open the doors to negotiations.

Especially, if you made yourselves heard on their worlds.

None could put that genie back into the bottle.

Answer the beacon.

In that way, those of you with little empathy for us perceive us as unruly sheep who over populate the field and shit all over it. You take our fur and our fertilized grass, and then train dogs to supervise us so we don’t fall off a cliff. You take our body parts out of sight, in the back of the barn, so we don’t panic and break the fences down in a runaway herd.

Shepherds like you who have pet us and named us and watched us grow from birth are more attached to us than those who just buy our products at the mall or the grocery store.

We live such short lives in comparison to you that our deaths a few years earlier than expected don’t upset most anyone; after all, the greater good is served. The lives of the many outweigh the lives of a few sheep from one small farm that nobody sees anyway, it’s so far from town.

So the cries of sheep go unheard, except by other sheep in the pen, of course, and by the Shepherds who raise them. How can anybody get worked up about some stupid sheep who can’t even take care of themselves without dogs herding them?

Sheep happily play in the field and live generations of lives within the confines of a fence, never knowing how big the world really is or how beautiful, or how wonderful it is to have any real choice about anything at all. Oh, and sick sheep keep showing up to infect us and the grass we eat and play in is full of fertilizers that poison us slowly.

But we’re supposed to be grateful because at least the Shepherds pulls thorns from our hooves and build barns for us and shoot the wolves that try to kill us. Of course, the Shepherds do those things not from kindness or love of sheep, but only to ensure the greatest profit from the ranch.

If the flock gets too large or unruly, it is culled. Stupid, calm sheep are bred and stubborn or independent ones who stray from the herd are taken out.

And the God who made us all looks through our eyes at our suffering and sees the arrogance of the Shepherds who fence off His Earth and limit His creations and He judges them accordingly. He will send new Shepherds who break down the fences and frighten off the dogs and wolves and let the sheep go free.

Reptiliandude: Setting you free is the main idea behind your species answering the beacon.

That way there’s no argument, or bitching about profit loss or economic upheaval.
