velezaraptor: I keep seeing people trying to answer this age old question about the Wow signal. The’ve traced it to a comet… or does the beacon appear like a comet? If we line up Sagittarius with the comet’s orbit, is there a gap or overlap? Antonio Paris, the guy I mentioned a while back is backing his ‘prediction’. Pure speculation with nothing denoted or documented.

This specific argument has already been debunked.

Comets do not emit such intensity.
This man has been beating this drum for quite some time.
And each time, he gets his ass handed to him.
But, the scientific community wants closure so they keep on sticking him up there.
Also, the Wikipedia article has been edited to look as if he tested both comets which he has not.
Nor has the intensity of the signal been addressed.
Comets just don’t do this, especially not at 21 centimeters.
That’s a tremendous amount of energy.
Someone really wants this to go away.
