The Tough Love of Progress: Radical Correction Versus Societal Stagnation

In this candid discussion, reptiliandude lambasts traditionalists and unaccomplished critics who resist forward momentum, comparing their stubborn inaction to a dangerous driver who needs to be physically stopped or “bitch slapped” for the greater good. Fieldlilly agrees, reinterpreting the Golden Rule to mean that people harming the species should want painful corrections like yelling or physical slaps when rational arguments fail. ACuriousHumanBeing and garbotalk validate this perspective, noting that true friends intervene harshly before someone makes a disastrous mistake, prompting garbotalk to admit he has been verbally corrected by reptiliandude multiple times.

reptiliandude: I have mentioned to several people of the “banshees” built by the kings of the east who seek to drive “The Demon” from patrolling their seas.

But they take great pride in attacking unsolicited suggestions.

Much like General Braddock, they insist upon demonstrating the power inherent in those who can order the playing of the fife and the drum like “civilized nations.”

So it is that they do not deserve such knowledge.

I do not allow politics and economic systems to cloud my vision.

I only care about those who would propel the species forwards as opposed to those who would hold it back.

If you really care about a drunken friend who refuses to give you their car keys, you have to tackle them or knock them out to save their lives and the lives of others.

It also helps to slap the shit out of the indecisive coward who seeks to justify their inaction by loudly proclaiming to all the meaningless question of “Was that really necessary?”

Yes, slap it really was slap, slap, slap!

You have to boldly expose to the rest of the tribe who the poor breeding choices are.

If you don’t, as a society you’re just doomed.

In such cases the bitchslap is the most “artistic” example of “freedom of speech” you can convey.

fieldlilly: You know, I think a lot of times we take the “Do unto others as you would have do unto you” in the completely wrong manner. We take it to mean that we should never yell at somebody, or physically harm them even if it is in the process of correcting them.

Personnally, if I was being a douche, or encouraging a behavior or mindset harmful to the entire human species, I would WANT TO BE CORRECTED. And if I was too hardheaded (perish the thought) to be corrected with a rational conversation or argument, I would want to be yelled at or bitch slapped. It is much better for me and everyone around me to learn a painful lesson than it is for me to lead myself and others on a destructive path.

ACuriousHumanBeing: Honestly you’re right.

A best bro will bitch slap ya before you do something retarded.

garbotalk: He’s verbally bitch slapped me more than once.
