The Naigaje Defense against the Kayeen
The Naigaje’s perception of humanity is defined by past episodes of unprovoked aggression from similar primates – specifically the Kayeen (whose strategic use of chemically altered humans as disposable front-line combatants have fostered great resentment).

The House of Aeyinki was never a part of the House of Aeyenlyl.
It is only that their voices prevailed.
My people govern themselves much like what you would consider to be something like a shogunate. Perhaps this will lend an understanding to the matter.
Earth was traveling into the Taurids, which was a comet that had broken up thousands of years previously.
It was there our ships were hidden.

The Ael’Kayeen, in their arrogance had never expected we would launch one of them towards the planet as a weapon.
Our mining ships, they are shaped to move large chunks around, fore and aft without turning.
They are huge, and shaped much like your letter, “H.”
They were precise but not sufficient.
We used blasting equipment to break apart the largest one we launched towards Earth.
Our mining vessels adjusted the trajectories of smaller fragments, for more surgical strikes.
The Kayeen could not respond in time due to the dark nature of the rock and the speed with which they plummeted towards the planet.
They saw the flash of the nuclear detonation, but argued too long among themselves as to what it was.
Again, they had never expected that this far flung world, conveniently isolated, could ever be ambushed.
By the time they realized what was coming towards them, defense was impossible.
Even their main link to standardized time was taken out by our strike teams.
No reinforcements could be called upon.
We annihilated them, and the rule of the abominations they created.
The “Sumerians” were correct in that regard.
We as one people orchestrated the cataclysm. It was inevitable, but we directed it for our purpose.
We are one people, but different Houses. Not all Houses think the same about your species.
Which is why they looked to see what the white-scale had to say about the state of humanity.
But that person’s words fell on deaf ears among the rulers of the Houses.
He was respected, but thought of as nothing more than a figurehead to most, and an obsolete expense honoring ancient traditions to others.
So that person sought out those who calculate standardized time.
Their power and authority is unmatched as their information is required by all Ael.
All Houses of the mighty are bound by time, and must liberate themselves from their own to navigate to other worlds.
There is no other way to travel through the mouth of a star safely.
There are arguments among my own regarding this. The last time we helped your species we were required to pay for the entire reconstruction effort, due to what was considered the extreme measure with which we dispatched the Ael’Kayeen. To most intelligent life, you are considered a waste of time, and proof of what happens to primates who are interfered with. Yet, hypocritically, they all have their own agendas for your world when you destroy yourselves.
There are those among us who feel very strongly about helping you, but they are the ones who are the most religious among us. Unlike your own species, we hold our religious leaders in high regard. They do not disgrace themselves as your own species does, neither do they promote ignorance or adherence to contradictory things. I should probably point out that in my culture, religious leadership is not a road to wealth through tax evasion. All religious institutions are taxed.
