Reptiliandude: I feel bad for you. I know that the truth hurts.

But lying to you about something so important goes against my own moral compass.

Over the years, I have seen many humans, claiming to represent species that either don’t exist, or are naive dupes working in concert with the ones who seek to further exploit you.

That disinformation is both widespread and imbedded as a part of human culture.

The fact is, there isn’t any extra-solar species willing to step up as a whole and assist you merely out of the generosity of their own hearts.

That is because they either don’t know much about you as the information is extremely dated (nice horse and buggy), or the information about you is withheld, then filtered through ministries which then disseminate this information to their citizenry.

What did you expect?

You can’t communicate in real time, so few can hear of you or your plight. The first vessels that came to your solar system were self-replicating bots, searching for mining opportunities.

It wasn’t Earth they were interested in, as it was high gravity, and too much water.

Another industry took interest in that. And we’ve already discussed that one. The general public of worlds light years removed from this place barely know of your existence, if at all.

Again, it is because radio transmissions take many light years to get to where they are going, and most advanced species learned the hard way that it’s not in their best interests to cheep like helpless baby chicks when the sky is filled with hungry predators who can zero in on them. We thought that you’d have figured that one out when you listened to the skies around your world and heard nothing.

Even the most primitive societies know that when the jungle suddenly grows quiet, there’s a predator prowling about.

So what creatures in their right minds would assume that they are the only intelligent life in such a vast universe? Unless they were either basking in an illusion of their own relevance and misusing scientific principles to support the premise or locked in belief systems which have no room for the rest of God’s children.

So, I’m telling you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. What defines me from the others is that disquieting characteristic. The fact is, if you want people to care about you, you need your voices to be heard by transmitting them in real time.

That way the common citizenry of your sister worlds light years from here can look around and say, “Who the fuck is that?”

It lets them know that you exist and eventually brings The Assembly out of the darkness of the void to examine the anomaly in person.

All these stories about councils and federations and enclaves of concerned alien benefactors are utter rubbish. That is not to say that there aren’t a few groups, (mostly religious) who are concerned about your situation. But the secular ones have no legal jurisdiction here.

And the religious institutions which do express concern are put off by your species embrace of religious fundamentalism.

It’s no secret among my own people that the ones who are your most vocal supporters also believe in that whole Son of God redeemer so many of your species seem so enamorored with. They claim that they don’t want to make the good lord angry by possibly interfering with his plan for humanity, or you mistaking them for introducing, “another Christ.”

They even have a bloody list they carry with them where this fellow gobsmacked the religious hypocrites on other worlds as well.

They hold some influence, and they might be able to help you.

But I think the prevailing opinion would be that having common religious affiliations isn’t the answer.

In fact, at this stage of the species societal evolution, it would probably create even worse problems than the ones they might solve.

You need to learn to speak in real time and evolve your monetary system so that you can engage in interplanetary trade.

If you develop a currency of real value that would be a huge step towards offering something more than genetic material.

That would open the doors to negotiations.

Especially, if you made yourselves heard on their worlds.

None could put that genie back into the bottle.

Answer the beacon.

Reptiliandude: The Calibration Society began thousands of years ago as a group of business interests who embraced the idea of a common time standard between worlds. A daunting task, considering the fluctuations in time-space between solar systems. For the purposes of shipping goods and services this was as critical as the time keeping methods of your railroads.

Eventually, the Society developed into more. It was determined that our operatives could impartially assist in the development of what we called “beacon worlds,” worlds who had not yet become part of any alliances and were still using things like radio communication for long distance data transfers.

We exist as go-betweens, and anti-espionage and if necessary, counter-corporate espionage agents because we are thoroughly familiar with and more than not also acclimated to functioning normally within the societies of those worlds. Our opinions of those societies are held in the highest regard, because we do not represent nations per se, but the overall business communities of entire regions.

In Earth’s case, however… My species is responsible for dispatching the Ael’Kayeen. We brought about the cataclysm which ushered in the Younger Dryas. But the Ael’Kayeen, they accelerated your evolution and created nations here, for the sole purpose of harvesting your genetic material. You were quite literally modified to be like the genetic version of 0+ blood. So you could be a viable product for a burgeoning life extension industry.

There were many investors in this life-preservation and extension industry. Currently, your status is unresolved. The Society is here to determine your worth, and to act as witnesses in the ongoing litigation. This is quite serious, as you are still considered but mere lab animals to some.

I know you do not see it this way, but your species demonstrates this leaning on a daily basis. Our impartiality is legendary; as is our ability to spot opportunities for legitimate and profitable trade. I am a reptilian. And we are known for our resourcefulness. Most of us are not as bad you have been led to believe.
