The Monkeys in the Lab: Neophyte Arrogance, Theocratic Risk, and the Search for Sincere Hearts

In this provocative exchange, Reptiliandude (RD) critiques the “nihilism” of modern human science, characterizing the refusal to acknowledge an underlying intelligence as the defensive arrogance of a “neophyte” species. He explains that the Quarantine remains in place partly to prevent the immediate formation of global theocracies, as the open revelation of aliens would likely cause humanity to seize the “administrative tools of Rome” to worship their visitors as gods. RD clarifies that the universe is a partitioned simulation where different “nodes” operate under varying laws, designed to refine the character of sentient beings who function as feedback devices for a higher Programmer. Ultimately, he reveals that his decision to communicate via an informal internet forum is a deliberate strategy to bypass “knowledge-hoarding” elites and instead observe the hearts of common people who seek truth and survival rather than profit or power.

explorer1357: Are there different types of simulations?

reptiliandude: Yes. But don’t feel bad.

Most species assume at first that the universe abides by the same ‘laws’ at every node ‘dissolution’ point.

…Or, at least the neophytes do.

It’s normal to be somewhat arrogant during one’s ‘formative stages.’

But the neophytes are the ones who persecute the heretics who refuse to couch everything in the orthodoxy of accident and purposelessness.

Like the inquisitors of old, they actively seek to ruin the reputations and livelihoods of those who do not tow the official line.

Their embittered despair is a mantle which they wear and a symbol of their unwavering commitment to the nihilistic orders.

The very idea that there might be an intelligence behind things and that they are the monkeys in the lab is far too disquieting…

So, this bitter pill goes down easier by deceiving themselves into thinking that their zealotry is solely to protect the world from the political machinations of the ‘vitalists’ and the ‘creationists.’

You know what I’m talking about…

Anyone and I mean ANYONE who even remotely suggests that there might be an intelligence behind the universe is mislabeled and castigated as a ‘creationist’ solely to muddy the waters and to cast prejudice against their testimony.

This is just one of many reasons why my species as a whole loathes infindels…

It is also why we are hesitant to reveal ourselves and there are prohibitory clauses in your quarantine which address that very issue.

Were we to reveal ourselves to you, humanity would embark upon establishing ‘theocracies’ everywhere.

In the western world, such powers would make use of the existing administrative tools possessed by Rome.

Things might not bode well for the ‘poisoners’ of the public zeitgeist.

garbotalk: These theocracies that you believe will pop up is what happened before, in Egypt and China and India, well everywhere I guess. And you disliked those humans who wielded power because they selfishly considered themselves worthy of worship simply because they spoke to you, and received information. Then they hoarded that information to consolidate their power rather than share it with all so that its decemination could empower all of us. How tragic and evil those rulers were in humanity’s past.

I would like to think we are better than that, more open and worthy. For one thing, we have better communication options so that secrets kept by leaders are harder to hide. This forum is a case in point.

Also, most of us already believe you’re out there, somewhere. It wouldn’t be quite the shock it once was. We no longer believe everything revolves around us as the center of the universe.

The Siriv among us will be removed eventually. Once gone, we will be ready for boot camp with the Assembly.

Your quarantine laws are there for the Consortium’s best interests, not ours. Perhaps initially, our well being was the focus. But that has not been the case in many centuries as the Kayeen have evolved their plots against us and used the quarantine laws as a shield to hide their malfeasance.

I can handle it. I know I can. I already have. I am not so unique or special to think my reaction is anything but the norm of what humanity will accept with logic and reason. I may have been naive and duped by the Kayeen as to their intentions, but I never thought of them as gods, nor myself more valuable because I was aware of them. If anything, it motivated me to want to share all that I have learned with our manipulated people all the more.

Perhaps that is ultimately why you’re willing to talk to me, to test to see if I develop delusions of grandeur. I promise you, I will not, whether or not I am able to meet you and your kind in person. While I respect and admire you, I don’t worship you, or seek to be worshipped. That, to me, would be the worst betrayal of God that I could do.

reptiliandude: We are looking into the hearts of common people, not those whose first thoughts are how they might profit from our existence.

That is why this venue was chosen.

garbotalk: I hope we have shown you that our hearts’ desires are not about money, but are instead about understanding the truth hidden from us, and surviving the threats that surround us.
