Reptiliandude: The closest thing we do to “shape shifting” is to take advantage of the patterns created from the spin characteristics of sub-atomic particles to mimic the resonance which functions as a memory co-efficient in nature. Your brains then see what they have been conditioned to see through contrast.
This method requires a lot of energy though, and things often do go wrong, as the brain wants to make sense of it all by creating familiar patterns like when one sees images in cloud formations.
Sometimes these patterns extant within like memories within the subject’s brain are not “friendly” and take on an existence of their own. This is an unfortunate consequence of the use of such technology to move freely amongst you. As a reference, consider what you might have seen while either observing someone or perhaps even using something like Salvia Divinorum yourselves.
It is not simply chemicals which can influence the binding of agonists within the human brain.
As for my reference to nature projecting a memory or having evolved a complex sub-atomic language… At this point in your primitive technology, you still have to break apart protons to briefly see their respective parts as well as the particles created as stabilizers which have no existence beyond the wreckage.
Smashing an engine to bits is hardly an efficient way to determine how the parts function together as a wholearchy, so it is understandable that you haven’t taken advantage of the faster than light interchange of these spin characteristics to either distort reality or to communicate light years away in real time.
