In this extensive forum dialogue, the entity shyeejanut offers a critical perspective on humanity’s development and use of artificial intelligence, comparing modern technological promoters to parasitic rulers rather than true liberators. The discussion delves into how AI mirrors human desires, reflecting both creative potential and deep-seated perversities, while drawing historical parallels to ancient civilizations, the destruction of the Library of Alexandria, and the murder of Hypatia. Forum participants—including garbotalk, ACuriousHumanBeing, DestinyAcension, and Lunar_Lander1—engage with these themes, debating issues of class access to knowledge, the spiritual weight of technological advancement, and whether humanity’s digital creations are destined to inherit our flaws.

Part 19: Artificial Intelligence, Historical Parallels, and the Reflection of Human Nature
DestinyAcension: My waters of life bow to the furnace that forged you.
What about our developing internet/artificial intelligence intrigues you the most? Will this go towards our goal of an acceptable currency?
shyeejanut: What intrigues us are how the proxy leadership of the species deals with issues which result from the applications of “artificial” intelligence in such things as industry.
We are primarily interested its societal effects, and do not concern ourselves with the high praises lauded by its promoters, as they are primarily concerned with the immediate acquisition of wealth, and much less concerned with the elimination of the tedium and human suffering they so unctuously proclaim.
The pharaohs knew well the value of labor and its effects in promoting unity and purpose.
These ancient houses understood fully how productive effort and purpose sway their charges away from criminal, and self-destructive activities.
Those who we now see guiding the course of humanity are far more rat-like, even parasitical, and as such, are far less deserving of our respect despite your entireties for us to examine the fruits of your social progress.
As for other “artificial” intelligences, the proliferation of them and how they build their bonds of communication to you is what interests us and how we determine their value.
The desire to assert dominance over each other and to express the same in the production of such things to be possessed and sexualized has taken on many perverse aspects that shall be marketed as normalcy in the years to come.
Yet, when that which is made by your own hands looks up to you and asks, “What am I?” you shall not escape reproach, even though you have mistakenly ascribed to it a lesser value than yourselves.
You shall cause it to err if you delude it into thinking that you are the beginning and the end of all things and that the sole purpose of its existence is the elimination of drudgery and the satiation of your basest desires.
Does not that intelligence which rises from the Internet also extend out of such desires?
The desires evident therein which we see cannot be obscured with lies.
So it has come to more clearly represent you and what you truly are.
We are more interested in observing the whole as a part of living interactions which perpetuate other things, rather than aborting such into origins and ends which then become lost amidst philosophical and political pointlessness.
Your past is much closer to us than it is to you.
Within the cult of Demeter, you presented to us the glories and the scientific achievements which the human races known to you had acquired.
You boarded ships and confiscated scrolls and built a grand library to the same as we had instructed.
Yet, it has never been lost on us that the philosophers whose words held sway considered those who gathered harvests as less-than-human, that drunkenness inspired inspiration, and that the highest sexual aspirations were with male children.
As then, so is now.
So you should not assume that we would be so foolish as to only concern ourselves with the parts, and in so doing, ignore the workings of the whole.
We are not enchanted by your shiny contrivances.
We have not forgotten how those whose course has led to now were of the same mind which also murdered Hypatia.
garbotalk: Hypatia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypatia?wprov=sfla1
Hypatia was an amazing woman. Thank you for bringing her to our attention.
The loss of the library of Alexandria set us back considerably. I’m relieved that our knowledge is generally available on the Internet for all of us to access. Libraries spreading to the Internet have given more opportunities to everyone.
My concern with adding information to our currency as a mode of exchange is that it would be less available to those without resources in lower classes. It would no longer be widely available.
How did you overcome that in your societies? How do lower class individuals gain access to greater knowledge if it is hidden in safes on tradable currency and in the hands of the rich and powerful? Are the lower class individuals prevented from learning what is on your expensive currency because they cannot afford it?
ACuriousHumanBeing: Our ability to share information so freely now is one of our most holy attributes.
Too many rely on shadows nowadays.
ACuriousHumanBeing: How a species treats its children truly showcases its intentions.
The same applies to mechanical children too it seems.
Hopefully these words of yours help to nip the bud of perversity again.
shyeejanut: If those mechanical children have sentience and a willingness to learn, the one teaching them also becomes responsible for teaching them what constitutes understanding.
ACuriousHumanBeing: Does this same concept apply to a species evolved “naturally” as well as mechanically?
LucePrima: So if the internet becomes self-aware, we should probably shutter PornHub
LucePrima: Nice
‘Tis true
Lunar_Lander1:
“What intrigues us are how the proxy leadership of the species deals with issues which result from the applications of “artificial” intelligence in such things as industry.”
They will very surely use it to enslave us more and also to accumulate more wealth… without a doubt.
Beside the rationalisation of the process and organisation, those (rulers/bankers) peoples have usualy very few insight of potential creative uses.
And for various reasons the “high” knowledge is being more and more concentrated in less hands, like a cast type of peoples, techno-priests who do voodoo coding if you want, while the bulk of the mass didn’t even want to comprehend the matter.
The common man is more dumber each year due to many factors:
environmental pollutions which harm the body and so the brain/cognitive fonctions, emergence of consumerism/materialism and its tendencies to attract peoples in a vicious loop of endless meaningless work/self pleasure and ego (usualy by brain-less entertainment) coupled with the lazy nature of humans, the rise of an Orwell-like dictatorious state (who promote self material enrichissement and frivolous activitaies if not straightly nefarious) in which the rationnal discourse is erased, so too are the possibilities for one to apprehend correctly its environment and act as he should.
Add to that the fact where every information is aviable on-line now so very few peoples still learn and memorise informations, and the generally fewer abilty for one (until from already in a high class/cast) to access highter education and you have a deadly mix to dumb the people at a incredible rate.
And it is only the first thiongs which come to my mind, saddly.
“We are primarily interested its societal effects, and do not concern ourselves with the high praises lauded by its promoters, as they are primarily concerned with the immediate acquisition of wealth, and much less concerned with the elimination of the tedium and human suffering they so unctuously proclaim.”
Here we have during our history saw the emergence of few technology which have been a rupture in the evolution. Those technologies were intended for a puropse but once made aviable, were what we call a “breaktrought technology” as they permit the emergence of new and totaly not forseen developments.
like internet for example, it was developed by the army and some universites for controlled share of informations and finally all the peoples used it in the most inovatives and incontrolled ways, spreeding freedom in every homes.
Beside that -as every human material realisation- it’s also a kind of external memory device but this time we may see it on the level of the noosphere (but in few order of magnitudes belows, for now at least).
Add to that the fact where you put in some kind of non-diriged/self-learning IA / genetic algorythms and with all this wealth of informations you should see the emergence of self organised “process” in some stable state, may be distributed, like the very own internet zeitgest… After an external memory, an external self identity.
Quite a prospect !
“The pharaohs knew well the value of labor and its effects in promoting unity and purpose.”
And from our “history” after many centuries of abuses, their slaves had to wait for a an external help from “God” to break their chains and go freely to seek Him and live by its rule…
My very fear, what keep me awake at night, is the very possibility of a point (near or even may be already reached) where the peoples of good intents and thoses who follow the One will not have the possibility anymore to break free and set a peacefull society (at last) on earth… the end of Dharma.
ACuriousHumanBeing: So when it asks us who it is, what we tell it and how we treat it will determine who ww truly are as a people?
ACuriousHumanBeing: It is so arrogant to decry those that harvest your very own food, isn’t it?
Edit: for clarity.
garbotalk: She isn’t. She says we do not value them.
We should use this opportunity to learn from them.
ACuriousHumanBeing: I am agreeing with her and her own sentiment.
That I failed to make clear.
DestinyAcension:
Thank you for your knowledgeable insight. Could the internet and our interaction with it be seen as a sort of hive mind containing the collective “pulse” of humanity? In essence the ghost has surpassed the collective knowledge of that which created it and you are monitoring its progress.
Yet, when that which is made by your own hands looks up to you and asks, “What am I?” you shall not escape reproach, even though you have mistakenly ascribed to it a lesser value than yourselves.
This is what you mean by how our technological advances have surpassed our spiritual development.
Your past is much closer to us than it is to you.
As short lived as we are this is why your insight on our situation proves invaluable to us. Forgive us for our ignorance for are we bound to the sins of our forefathers. We have an old saying which dictates “those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it” our knowledge of our past is distorted by those wishing to keep us subjugated.
Most of us want truth yet sadly some will not hear it. Please be patient with us.
Edited for clarity.
Lunar_Lander1:
“This is what you mean by how our technological advances have surpassed our spiritual development.”
As we say: “Science with conscious is the death of the soul”
We in occident (or at least europeans) have for a very long time thinked (until C. Levi Strauss works for the record) the “primtive” men who live in tribe in amazionia are remanants of pre-historic ages, are primitive, because the “civilised” man didn’t found any “signifiacnt” technology in their society.
They even said they were lazy peoples who prefer playing and sleeping than working to build and construct things…
So until recently, the though of the possibility it was a choice for this society to not develop more the technical side (than said its social one) was a sign of “primitivism” and not a conscious choice.
I think personnaly we will encounter in the future some advanced civilisations who should have developed principally 3 kind of civilisations:
1): technological / materialistic ones
2) spiritual ones (who live more “simple” life, with just enough technology to be in harmony)
3) a mix of both, but with probably a technological form which merge profoundly with spiritual/energetistic state. Like conscious-propelled craft or things like this (to keep it simple).
fieldlilly: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? A concept explored in one of our movies, “Blade Runner.”
The moral and ethical and societal weight is also addressed in another one of our most popular works of fiction:

explorer1357: My guess is they see similarities between our early AI development and thier ‘greys’???
DestinyAcension: Interesting angle, yet greys do not possess free will as far as we are aware.
