The Reality of Telepathy

The Reality of Telepathy

In this skeptical and somewhat exasperated response, Reptiliandude addresses humanity’s persistent obsession with sci-fi concepts like time travel and telepathy. He debunks the romanticized view of telepathy, exposing it as a brutal, heavily augmented, and messy process that invariably requires a sacrifice to maintain a reliable link, while defending spoken language as a beautifully efficient form of communication. Turning to real-time interstellar communication, the narrator points out that the necessary technology is actually an offshoot of the sustainable nuclear fusion reactors humanity is currently trying to build. He notes with pity that human scientists have already created a vital component for this cosmic telephone, yet remain completely oblivious to its alternative function. Concluding with heavy wordplay, he leaves the technological purpose of the Egyptian pyramids for humanity to solve independently, cryptically hinting at its function by referencing a stuck “record needle” tracing a series of tracks over “heavy Stones.”

Reptiliandude: Where do I begin to answer this?

I know that you posted it a few days ago, but I honestly can’t even begin to respond this without stepping back and shaking my head a little bit.

Ah, telepathy… This is something your species seems absolutely fascinated with.

Well, that and the nonsense you conceive of as ‘time travel.’

Real ‘telepathy’ is a nasty, heavily augmented and messy business in which something always has to die to facilitate the link.

That is, if you’re looking for a reliable connection with any consistency.

Seriously… what’s primitive about ‘speaking?’

It’s a lovely form of communication.

As for timely communication between the worlds, that is accomplished with a technology that is an offshoot of the one you are currently using to create sustainable fusion reactors.

You really are quite close, and have even created an important component for the same, but regrettably, have no idea what its other usage could possibly be intended for.

You’re simply not looking in that direction.

Pity…

But for what ‘technological’ purpose the pyramid complex in Egypt served… I’m afraid that you’ll have to figure that one out for yourself.

Now, if you’ll excuse me…

It would appear that I’ve got an old ~record needle~ stuck in a ‘series of tracks’ above some rather ~heavy~ ‘Stones’ music.
