THE KAYEEN
The Clone Paradox: Genetic Decay and Ethical Quagmires
In this direct dismissal of human sci-fi logic, reptiliandude explains why the Ael’Kayeen cannot simply “clone” humanity to solve their biological needs. He reveals that clones are prone to severe genetic instability—comparable to “copies of copies”—where DNA ends fail to remain stable over generations. Beyond the biological failure, he hints at a nightmare of legal, political, and social complexity that terrestrial transhumanists have yet to fathom: because “product” cannot be kept in stasis without deteriorating, clones must be allowed to live, exercise, and think, effectively becoming individuals with their own rights. According to reptiliandude, the moral and ethical upheaval caused by breeding sentient beings for “spare parts” has historically decimated other societies, making the current system of harvesting “natural” human product a far more stable, albeit colder, alternative.

Garbotalk: I’ve been arguing with XXXX about all of this. He says the Kayeen could easily clone us if they needed our bodies to live. There would be no need to replace us.
Reptiliandude: Clones do not replicate well.
They are like copies of copies and the ends of the DNA have problems remaining stable.
There are also personal ownership, legal and political ramifications regarding clones which you humans have never encountered nor could even fathom the ridiculous complexity of.
To speak nothing of the social upheaval caused by using such individuals as body parts as they cannot be kept in stasis without incredible deterioration of product but instead must live and walk and exercise, this becoming living breathing thinking individuals of their own.
Your species never really addresses this complexity nor the moral and ethical ramifications of such in any of your transhumanist movements.
Volumes could be written on what happens to societies who breed clones.
