reptiliandude: I’m in a good mood.
A few ‘hours’ ago, the general saw the closest thing to a living god he will ever see in this lifetime.
His ‘world view’ has been shattered, to say the least.
The ‘Queen of Heaven’ flowered out towards him.
And, he caught a small glimpse of the compiled knowledge of the known universe.
She explained in no small part why she and her children hold such knowledge in secret, preferring instead to promote peaceful trade through the continual creation of a common time between the worlds.
garbotalk: Then I’m in a great mood! You refer to the Empress of the insectoid race Cis belongs to, who hosted the General on her planet to meet with your synth. Has he relented yet? Or will you need another chat with him?
reptiliandude: I don’t know. His speech is unintelligible and his mind is a mess of conflicting things. They cannot stop him from crying.
garbotalk: His world view has been rocked. All that he thought he knew, and all the confidence it gave him has been shattered. It is difficult to humble the mighty, but necessary. All those who see themselves as apex predators, of every species involved with us, will soon feel as he does.
I think it is almost easier for those who already are humble to adapt to such amazing revelations. Everything shared is a wondrous gift, precious to behold.
For those with firm belief about their own importance, an undeserved arrogance, they will suffer when the full scope and magnitude of those that they underestimated reveal themselves. The mighty will fall, and if they’re smart, will humble themselves too.
