HUMANS OVERVIEW
Biological Deterrents and the "Zombie" Contagion
reptiliandude reveals the origins of a devastating biological weapon used by his species against the Ael’Kayeen. Originally a preemptive strike by the Kayeen to suppress dangerous botanical and genetic research, the conflict forced the reptilians to refine local fungi and plants into a neural contagion that effectively turns primates into “weaponized” entities. This contagion, which mirrors the horrific mechanics of the real-world Ophiocordyceps fungus, functions by composting pain receptors and overriding the brain’s natural physical limiters, allowing the infected to fight with suicidal resolve and immense strength until their bodies literally collapse from cardiac arrest. While explorer1357 compares the phenomenon to Hollywood zombies, reptiliandude clarifies that these “synthetics” are not meant for survival but are expendable tools of war—revealing that traces of this “insurance policy” are already hidden on Earth, monitored by agencies that may not even understand the extraterrestrial stakes involved.

explorer1357: Alright, so…
Ive spoken with garbotalk about this, but to avoid painstaking hours finding your words, could you briefly explain the whole Kayeen disease you used to fight them off?
Garbo said it basically makes primates into zombies like I am Legend movie, and that is kinda scary to me.
garbotalk: Garbotalk: You said that your first contact with aliens was with the Ael’Kayeen. You also said they attacked you and nearly wiped you out. I was wondering why? Did they want your planet? Did they want to experiment on you like they did on us? You warred with them all over thousands of years. Are you still in open conflict elsewhere? Or is there a detente currently?
Reptiliandude: Our planet contains unique plants and fungi which are severely detrimental to the neural systems of the Ael’Kayeen.
By themselves they don’t amount to much, but combined and refined they can control the mind and compel one to commit unthinkable behavior.
They saw these plants, as well as our knowledge of genetics and studies of bacteria and viral contagions as a significant threat to their species.
Theirs was a “preemptive strike” designed to plunge my people back into a technological dark age.
The only reason they didn’t scorch the entire planet is that they wanted the research on these plants and fungi for their war machine.
Currently, there is a detente.
But some of the cousins of those plants are on your own.
We placed some of them there as a type of “insurance policy.”
Your drug enforcement agencies are set up to prepare to root out not only dangerous and abused substances but also to eliminate those things that haven’t been combined as of yet.
The Ael’Kayeen have many alliances amongst those who show no loyalty to their own people or nation.
Garbotalk: Did the extracts cause this kind of behaviour?

Reptiliandude: And like this
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiocordyceps_unilateralis
Garbotalk: Terrifying. No wonder zombies have been popular in stories for ages.
Reptiliandude: Many popular myths have a basis in truth. Entire colonies of the Kayeen were wiped out by the contagion. We never would have used it had they not attacked us. In fact, we never even thought about creating such a thing until we were on our knees and mourning the end of our civilization and our species.
Garbotalk: What a tragedy that false assumptions made about your people’s intentions killed so many for so long when a simple conversation and verification could have prevented it.
We must do all we can to prevent history repeating itself with us as the fools.
Reptiliandude: The psychotic way in which they attacked us brought about the very thing that they feared.
Reptiliandude: She’s right. Think of a violent, rabid human whose brain is now infected with something growing inside that mimics your own chemical production while using your expended neurons as compost.
explorer1357: So theyll act aggressive, afraid of light, attracted to smell of blood.
But… wouldnt they also attack each other? Not saying i would survive, but wouldnt a would-be survivor just have to wait it out until zombies kill each other?
Also, do they unlock the brain limiter and gain the ability to run like olympic sprinters and jump like 10 feet into the air?
Reptiliandude: No sure what you mean by ‘brain limiter.’
You limit yourselves because your body sends feedback which registers as pain when you’ve exerted yourselves.
The contagion ‘composts’ these receptors.
It was not unusual for many infected to chase prey to the point of collapse due to cardiac arrest.
But it was more usual for the prey to be overcome by those who felt no pain.
Bear in mind that weaponized primates are not made for longevity.
They are made to accomplish a task and then expire, so as not to create an unnecessary draw on limited resources.
explorer1357: Lol, I meant the theory of the central govenor which says something like your brain will prevent you from pushing physical limits, to…well…the limits.
And in the movie zombies were all jumping around like a watered down version of super strength haha
Reptiliandude: Yes, that movie was silly.
But humans who cannot feel pain can apply tremendous strength and maintain a near suicidal resolve to keep on fighting.
But, there is no evolutionary advantage.
