THE KAYEEN
The Auditor’s Sacrifice: Pipe Organs, Particle Simulations, and the Price of a Human Life
Reptiliandude reveals the strict ethical constraints of his mission, explaining that he must labor as a human and refuse all gifts—including Garbotalk’s pipe organ, which is worth millions in his currency—to atone for the “theft” of his human form. He views our reality as a “grand particle simulation” and is bound by celestial obligations to remain uncompensated to avoid legal charges in the worlds beyond. Garbotalk, however, remains desperate to fund the resistance against the Kayeen’s “Body Snatcher” agenda, offering her most prized artifacts to the Calibration Society or smugglers to ensure that human culture serves a higher purpose before the “overwrite” of our species is complete.

garbotalk: I will give you my organ. It’s yours.
reptiliandude: I appreciate the gesture, but I cannot accept.
Bear in mind that this organ of yours is worth MILLIONS in our own currency and is an extremely difficult thing to say no to.
However, I’m not allowed to use my capacity as an auditor to receive either monies or gifts of ANY kind.
It is this high standard which separates us from the frauds and the deceivers.
In my case specifically, I must obtain my daily bread through laboring in the same capacity as the species within that world in which I dwell.
I have committed what would otherwise have been considered a damnable offense by taking upon myself the life of another.
Though freely given by the one who birthed it, I have perhaps taken it from he whose form it was originally intended to be.
There are obligations which I must perform to keep from being chargeable to any who might bring accusation against me in both this world, the one which also slipstreams alongside it and the one into which I shall awaken when this form finally expires and I exit this grand particle simulation.
But I do thank you for the kind gesture.
garbotalk: If I could donate it to the cause of humanity’s freedom, and the proceeds used toward that goal, it would be my honor to give it. Perhaps a smuggler would be a nice intermediary for such accommodation. Or perhaps it could be a gift to the Callibration Society in honor of our enlightenment and gratefulness for same. Should humanity be overwritten, I doubt any artifacts from our churches would be prized by our subjugators. I’d rather those who love the One have it as a remembrance of those of us who now labor to be recognized in His name, whether Ba’alaket, Naigaje, or a Cis-ter. Do not reject something freely offered, with no expectations.
explorer1357: You mean you want to give your body away?
garbotalk: There is nothing I would not give to help my people survive, whether my possessions, my money, my peace of mind, my talents, or my life. There is no risk I would not take. I’ve already risked much, and will continue to gather information, to speak out, to inform, and to warn.
However, I was referring to a pipe organ I own, something the Naigaje are particularly fascinated by.
