I never once said that it would take a completely ‘self-sustainable’ fusion reaction to awaken humans to the feasible possibilities of speaking in real time.
I mean, quite honestly, wouldn’t a self-sustainable fusion reaction defeat the purpose?
It would just come off as a boring, monotone ‘hum’ of sorts just droning on and on, wouldn’t it?
I simply intimated that for these creatures to speak in real time would come about in part due to discoveries made during the process of developing, making and experimenting with fusion reactors.
It’s entirely on them to notice whether two identical teacups on the coffee table are harmonically responding to a more interesting ‘fluctuating hum’ from the ‘transformer(s)’ ‘movie’ playing in the ‘background.’
And it’s entirely up to them for their astrophysicists to discover the spooky correlation between how one star’s fusion ‘song’ influences that of another, or how such principles could theoretically be manually manipulated in the process of putting stars in ‘bottles’ (ahem).
