THE NAIGAJE
The Dangers of Fanaticism, Historical Amnesia, and Nihilism
Reptiliandude argues that humanity must learn from history and recognize that cruelty, destruction, and the suppression of knowledge can arise from both religious fanaticism and secular ambition driven by individuals without conscience. Using historical examples such as the destruction of the Library of Baghdad, he warns that powerful figures can erase knowledge, manipulate others, and impose their own vision of the future unless they are met with determined opposition. He criticizes nihilism, apathy, and self-pity, urging people to persevere in the face of repeated failures rather than surrender to hopelessness. Reflecting on his own experiences and a child in Egypt who helped him develop compassion, he emphasizes the importance of understanding human suffering and resisting the urge to condemn everything out of hatred or self-loathing. Ultimately, the passage calls for historical awareness, moral responsibility, resilience, and compassion to protect civilization and prevent destructive ideologies from spreading.

Reptiliandude: Consider carefully what you are seeing here…
Some of you might callously be saying to yourselves that this was ‘just a mosque,’ or at another time in the past you might have said that it was ‘just a church’ full of worshippers who were ambushed and murdered by gunmen.
“So, where was their God?”
Some of you might be quietly saying this to yourselves and be quite proud in your hearts that this proves some point you’ve postulated about religion, or the dichotomy of madness that consumes those ‘infected with it.’
You might point out over a couple of pints tonight that the Library of Alexandria was consumed twice with fire as a result of the same sort of criminal zealotry perpetrated by both Christians and Muslims in different ages.
But you would be wise to consider that it is not only religious fanatics who lead others in such madness…
Genghis Khan was neither a crazed religious fanatic nor did he seek to impose a horseman’s creed upon those he vanquished.
This man, bereft of both conscience and restraint was consumed by his own passions.
He remains the grand king of all rapists and murderers to ever walk the face of the Earth.
His forces utterly destroyed the Grand Library of Baghdad in 1258.
He put the wisest and most noble scholars and scientists to the sword and his thugs threw the combined knowledge of the ages into the Tigris River which ran black with the ink of all the scrolls cast therein.
Yet, despite all this unimaginable cruelty, the human race remains determined to be a species that willingly suffers from amnesia.
Thus, history always repeats itself.
And it is always men without conscience who seek to liquify their detractors and make unrecognizable the knowledge forged in the past in order to cast a new future in their own damnable image.
If their exertions are not met with an even more determined opposition, they will spread their madness like a plague and thus plunge the world into darkness.
It matters not what their religious or secular cause may be…
If the impetus behind it is from one bereft of conscience, the success of the endeavor will be temporal at best, its grandest achievements lauded by the deceitful and whitewashed with remorse.
Why not just stick your head up your own ass and let the world around you go to shit?
Because a fart is only music to a complete asshole, that’s why.
Then again, flatulence performed open mic can get you a few laughs and pay for a couple of pints.
All kidding aside, that kind of talk is for losers, mate.
Successful people (and species) fail repeatedly, but they keep on getting back up and dusting themselves off until they either accomplish their goals or die trying.
They don’t mope around all shrug shouldered and say shit like, “What’s the use?” whilst deceiving themselves into believing that their self pity is a form of virtue.
Nobody in their right mind promotes nihilism as a way of life unless they’re bloodsucking shit slingers looking for personal power or to make coin off the backs of laggards, vagrants and grievance mongers.
Even if you think life is total bollocks, “For King and Countrymen!” sounds like a much better rallying cry than, “What’s the use, life is fucked and then we all die anyways! Go home and fap, you pitiful rat bastards!”
Of course, the second rallying cry does have a certain ‘Pythonesque’ charm to it.
The loss of Ptolemy’s porn collection alone probably set humanity back at least a few hundred years.
Buck up, though.
All kidding aside, recognizing these 17th Century authoritarian imbeciles for what they are and acknowledging the damage they do and taking concise steps to prevent the spread of their influence is critical to the preservation of the way of life those participating in Western Civilization are accustomed to.
I’ve seen too much of humanity.
But it was through eyes with a basilisk’s slit and a vision dulled by obscuring it with the smoke of my own hatred.
There is little you could tell me about your kind which I haven’t personally seen, stepped over, or stopped to gawk at…
But one sunny afternoon in Egypt, a precocious little child convinced me in a subtle way to follow a path leading up to one where I eventually was cajoled into walking in your shoes.
And having done so, I learned the value of compassion and an appreciation for the suffering of those bound to their conscience.
Now, it seems quite odd to me that others don’t see the pit they dig for themselves when they go about pissing on everything, and tossing out spurious accusations like the Old Nick of legend.
Who, if I understand the story correctly, seems intent on assuming the role of a social critic of sorts—-picking away at everything until it can be reduced to a worthless state equated to that in which he finds himself.
But, I suppose misery loves company…
And you’d be a fool to try and swipe the bone of self-loathing from a junkyard dog so content on gnawing on the damn thing…
Or, to try and pet the bastard on the head for whatever that might be worth.
