The Mysterious Insectoid Species, C’s Identity, and the “Two Sisters” Incident

In this excerpt, reptiliandude elaborates on the mysterious insectoid species associated with the biblical “locusts,” describing them as predominantly female, largely incapable of individual reproduction, and governed by a powerful “Hierophant” Queen. He explains that C is female and recounts humorous interactions stemming from his habit of referring to her as male because of her authority over him. The conversation then becomes more personal and cryptic when he describes accidentally provoking two members of C’s species by muttering the word “snooty,” which they apparently interpreted through an ancient linguistic connection to the Egyptian phrase for “Two Sisters.” The misunderstanding causes the normally reserved beings to become intensely curious about him and nearly results in an unwanted connection to his nervous system. The excerpt closes with C humorously admonishing him through a formal message, while the participants speculate about her great age, possible connections to ancient history, and the significance of her identity and relationship with reptiliandude.

The last name is actually similar to one of the many names gifted to their species, which sadly, I am forbidden to declare.

Their restraint and patience are as legendary as their destructiveness when sufficiently provoked.

They are however, mostly neuter female and incapable of individual reproduction.

The ‘Hierophant’ Queen that birthed them is referred to in ancient texts as a ‘King’ and as ‘male’ and such usage has been an understood indicative of authority in Middle Eastern Culture since time immemorial.

(See descriptions of Hatshepsut to better understand this cultural imposition)

Their forward outside carapace does much to substantiate such descriptives as it is masculine and fierce in its appearance and much resembles a crested version of a cross between the Nasua style helmets favored by the Etruscans and the Galea versions of latter Roman helmets complete with their cheek protectors.

They are however, overwhelmingly and predominantly female.

And yes, Garbotalk…

C is female.

I continued to call her ‘him’ and ‘he’ as she got quite the kick out of me following the ancient impositions and descriptives for her being the ‘boss’ of me.

I’m also quite out of sorts for being held to task by three stubborn, authoritative females as my birth society is decidedly patriarchal.

And then, you showed up, so that’s sort of like four watching my every move now, so it’s a bit unnerving.

garbotalk: Ahahahaha! God is laughing too.

I bet we agree on more than we disagree, particularly when it comes to you!

I can see C now, her long black “hair”, her strong black irredescent body, her multi sets of arms, her barb, her whipping tendrils, her multi colored caprace shielding a lovely prismatic face. Fierce! I would not fear seeing her. I would welcome it. You can’t call her Spiderman anymore. She’s a wonder woman!

reptiliandude: Whatever…

Since her iridescent black comes off as a dark blue, I wore one of these one day just to tease her and mess with her mind.

I made ridiculously exaggerated insect movements and other than just pausing to stare at me indifferently, she acted as if nothing was any different than usual.

The next day I dressed normally and she asked me if I’d bought a new pair of shoes.

I wasn’t wearing any shoes…

She said that she couldn’t quite place it, but there was something of an improvement to the way I looked the day before that was conspicuously lacking at present.

I still haven’t figured out what their word for ‘bitch’ is…

soc-pdox: C… Chelamma/Serket? Are they the same person? Makes sense as I noticed the scorpion deities in ancient times were pretty much worshipped as goddesses, not gods as you mentioned – unless you want to count Dwayne The Rock Johnson in there.

reptiliandude: No comment.

Other than that C’s nickname is ‘Cis.’

I can say this much, however…

One day I saw two of her species talking together among themselves and carrying on joyously.

Since I could not understand their strange combination of movements, lights and sounds and knew they were not keen on wasting time in a futile attempt to teach me, I acknowledged them with a simple polite hand gesture and began to walk past them.

They both stopped talking and just stared at me. One of them made an impatient ‘huff’ sound, as if they were talking about something just between them, and my unexpected presence had compelled them to pause what was clearly a private conversation.

I couldn’t understand anyways, so it surprised me and put me off a bit.

English being the language which is associated with humans because of trade and such here, I mumbled under my breath “You don’t have to act so snooty.”

They lost their shit.

One of them called after me and when I didn’t respond, they excitedly started following me and asking me questions I couldn’t understand until one of them reached out to touch me and stop me so that she could directly connect to my central nervous system, when C rounded the corner and intervened just in time.

C scolded them and motioned them on.

They seemed uncharacteristically disappointed and with no small hesitation they backed up dragging their fore legs across the floor and then quietly went back to talking among themselves while staring intently at me.

I was then admonished for causing trouble.

“All I said was that they didn’t have to act so snooty.”

Embarrassed, I again mumbled ‘snooty’ so that it sounded more like ‘snotty or sun tea’ to a casual listener.

C just stopped dead in her tracks and then spun around, her carapace flung wide open so I could see her expressive face and she just stood there staring at me like I was a complete idiot.

“How could you possibly know that they were sisters?” Was her reply.

I just stammered, “What?”

“Fine, I’ll rephrase it. What method did you use to determine that they were sisters? You mixed up the language in your syntax and then called them by the ancient tongue. They thought that quite odd and wanted to know which House you were associated with and which of the red-haired you might have known.”

I was stunned… it had not even occurred to me that they might not have known what ‘snooty’ meant and that it might have come off as something else having said it under my breath.

SN-TY is ancient Egyptian for “Two Sisters.”

I have often referred to C as “Sis” afterwards, not because “Cis, Xis or Xian’ has any relation to the real meaning behind any of her nicknames… But rather, because of an incident where I peeked the curiosity of an otherwise stoic species into losing their shit enough to offer me a complimentary spinal tap.

…

…..

( I just got ‘busted’ and have been forced to edit my somewhat paraphrased version of the events. I should explain that the (h~) symbol after “Hee” represents an open-mouthed hissing sound )

In lieu of deletion, I have also been requested to be a ‘minister plenipotentiary’ of the following missive of concern, primarily due to an unforgivable lapse in judgement I made earlier, wherein I publicly revealed the embarrassing details of a certain ‘rasp’ incident…

//// Please be so kind as to inform me if this buffoon has overstayed his welcome. I’m certain that I have much more laborious and life-threatening work for him to attend to. Cordially, “C” ////

garbotalk: I’m going to call her Cis rather than C. And I’m going to refer to her as HER. If she is so long lived to have been the one to help the scorpion king so long ago, then you have quite an honor working with her, RD. I know how empathetic and kind she is, if not shy.

Referring to her as him just because she bosses you, ugh. Sometimes you’re a meathead, RD.

reptiliandude: There’s more to it than that… I have reference a more detailed explanation elsewhere.

And I did not declare that she personally assisted any of the descendants of Sekhen.

garbotalk: Nor did you deny it.
