But they have established a rigorously enforced self-isolation that excludes most of those those outside their aegis, and embraces all those within it.

Among the world’s associated with the Consortium?

Not so much. But travel among colonies established by the same species is abundant.

Tourism?

That would depend upon how you define ‘tourism.’

In order for ‘civilians’ to visit other worlds that are the domain of entirely different species and cultures involves traveling great distances at a considerable cost to the individual after surviving a gauntlet of bureaucratic ‘paperwork.’

That world visited would also be required to have in place protocols to prohibit the spread of pathogens which there could be no natural immunities, to say nothing of what kind of infestation could be spread from someone smuggling out either seeds, fruits or vegetables.

It takes several hundred years for a world to acclimate itself to be able to handle the influx of outside variables enough to permit any real freedom of movement or travel even among their own colonies.

I should note here that there are also gravitational and environmental acclimations which become a part of who that person is should they chose to reside in these places for any considerable length of time.

Such ‘acclimations’ in some cases can be quite difficult to divest one’s self of.

So, I doubt that your kind would enjoy themselves much under these circumstances, as you are quite accustomed to travel provided with greater luxuries and liberties.

You would encounter travel accommodations that were spartan at best and downright ‘invasive’ to those unfamiliar with the medical procedures necessary just to prepare the body for stellar transit.

So, as a result, ‘tourism’ for the average person often involves simply staying at home and visiting via automated means which provide the necessary tactile sensations.

More permanent expatriation can be brought about via temporal overwrites into another species brain if necessary, but again, at great cost.

As for marriage between different ‘orders’ of interstellar species, well…

It can and does occasionally happen, but such relationships aren’t as common or as easy to deal with as your science fiction paints then out to be.

Sexual compatibility among the species is not as universally free-flowing or accessible as the forms of sexuality which you yourselves are accustomed to.

Those among yourselves who boisterously claim that marriage is an obsolete institution would find themselves either laughed at or viciously assaulted and perhaps even killed among these places you seek to visit, were you to openly promote such caustic notions.

Throughout the history of the Naigaje, those who have promoted the dissolution of marriage and the family unit did so as a method of social engineering to disrupt the current power structures and to establish their own political systems whose centralized power structures caused great harm.

As a result, such suggestions are considered treasonous and are dealt with swiftly.

Such brutality of response to your anarchistic conceptions of what constitutes ‘freedom of speech’ may be difficult for you to appreciate or relate to.

For example: we do not consider pornography or art whose primary purpose is to offend the sensibilities of the viewer to be ‘freedom of speech.’

Freedom of speech to us is the right to criticize political, social and religious concepts.

This criticism grants one the right to an audience, but not to a revolutionary movement and certainly not the path to a religious empire founded on cult tactics.

‘Churches’ are thus taxed to keep the charlatans out and the message intact and safe from being bastardized by the self-serving.

This would not go over well with your current views of what constitutes ‘freedom.’

Besides this, there are extreme differences in how we comport ourselves publicly.

Put bluntly, Humans have an extremely difficult time keeping their mouths shut as well as keeping both their pricks and their ideologies holstered in their pants.

As for your own kind, similar primate species if they can breed with each other, (unless they avail themselves to extensive genetic engineering) produce ‘mules’ of a sort at best.

Who wants their children to be incapable of reproduction?

The concept of what constitutes marriage among the worlds varies considerably.

To some it is a contract to establish permanent ties between families and even to establish bonds and extended peace between worlds.

Mostly though it is for companionship and to produce children who can carry on the family’s name and legacy, if it possesses either, as well as to guarantee that inheritance is passed down among bloodlines and to those adopted into them.

Among my own kind, depending upon the House and ruling class, infidelity can result in honor killings or even a death sentence.

Among your own kind, unfaithfulness and disloyalty is far more common.

As a result, such things are viewed in a less critical manner and adjudicated as such, lending themselves unto repetition with disastrous results to the society as a whole.

This is evidenced quite clearly in the fatherlessness which has devastated your inner cities which your rulers have chosen to ignore in their blind pursuit of profit and self-aggrandizement above all things.

Such stellar examples of your lack of restraint and the abandonment of your own progeny are prime examples of why you are have been blinded to the universe around you and have been relegated to the role of ‘genetic cattle.’

You shall not travel far beyond your world so long as those who control the skies above you consider you to be biologically and socially infectious.

If you extend your reach beyond the boundaries established for you, your most intrepid explorers shall be put down without prejudice.

We’re not all like Anthony Weiner, sharing our weiners, but those few who do embarrass us all.

What do you do with your outliers who make you look bad? You must have a few. Over sharing is not a capital offense but it is humiliating for the rest of us associated with them.

We pre-Assembly worlds who have not yet answered the beacon are vulnerable to the Assembly rejects who refused to join the kingdoms of the Assembly when given the opportunity to join on their worlds. Thus, those Consortium worlds are basically outside their affiliation for the most part, except when you harass and abuse developing worlds like ours and bring on their wrath.

I think of the Assembly like the mother bear protecting her cubs from the rest of the forest animals, even her other progeny who have already been weaned and released from her protection.

We’re not ready to go out on our own or some grumpy old bear will kill us just for leaving the den because we could some day become a threat. I fear for the volunteers signing up to go to Mars. They will not last long all alone in the forest.

It’s a shame that vulnerable beings like us must go through the gauntlet of the forest before the Assembly will rescue us.

If heaven is thus everything. why is this probability matrix, this particle simulation we play in, even in effect anyway. What value does this place produce that otherwise doesn’t exist in heaven? What meaning does this reality produce that otherwise couldn’t be?

And why is this a ‘simulation’? A simulation implies it is only an imitation of something else. Possibly to even simulate something for the future. So I have to ask, what is this simulating for?

As I conceive of things, ‘God’ is not an asshole.

The probability matrix and evolution exists so that predators can come into being naturally without ‘His’ direct hand in it.

Thus, ‘He’ is not responsible for what those predators do and thus is not required to intervene.

So, they can evolve naturally.

Nor, is ‘He’ required to intervene with the flow of political or social change.

Thus, from within this probability matrix, are ‘born’ those capable of incredible variety of form as well as even those whose developing brains are capable of defining for themselves what concepts such as good and evil are by experiencing such things in all of their most varied forms.

Thus, there can be no argument about such things save among ourselves.

Good and evil are relative concepts, but they determine the course and destiny of entire sentient species depending on how they are perceived and applied.

So, ‘He’ stays out of it and lets us settle such things among ourselves through the power of personal experience.

That is, until we interfere too much with the ‘natural flow’ of things…

Such as with what is happening to your species…

But my own kind have dismissed such postulations on my part as they are considered far too old fashioned and far too connected to our ancient legends to be of any significance to our ‘enlightened’ age.

Put simply, I figure such complexities are designed to shut us all up so we can appreciate the boring home life that will follow as this information is ‘compiled’ and we wait to get paid whilst staring at the “Help Wanted” sign hanging outside the ever expanding door of this universe.

At this point I God isn’t an asshole. Far from it, I imagine him as more of a goofy meme lord who takes immense joy in the simple yet good things in life.

Thank you for this guidance. Though your own may reject this currency as being archaic and old fashion, know I find there is immense value in these ‘myths’, and that it is encouraging to me in insuring my own kinds currency and lives are more adjusted to be more meaningful.

I hope for this world to be a place where all fractal beings bubbled forth to here have the chance to be the very best people they can be, and are given ways and strategies to work with and harmonize even their most daunting flaws, and that all may find ways to add to our eventual currency.

Suffice it to say that there were extenuating circumstances given to us as a result of our defending our own right to exist and since we did not discover the ability to speak in real time on our own as it was discovered via reverse engineering the technology of the vanquished Ael’Kayeen.

As for our mythologies, they have always played an important role to at least a ‘remnant’ of us.

And when they did not play an important role among the majority, my people suffered as a result.

I am not talking about institutionalized religion as a result.

I am talking about considering the inner messages of the stories contained therein.

Where sometimes, the very secrets of the universe itself are hidden in allegory against those who consumed by their own vanity and pride seek to burn the past to create their own short-sighted vision of what the future should be.

The greatest mistakes that leaders make is to think that the life experience is linear.

It is not.

It is cyclical.
